Ultra-Dewatering Bags

Ultra-Dewatering Bags

Draining swampy or low-lying areas is a common occurrence in construction. Unfortunately, pumping out the water from these areas also removes a lot of dirt, silt, mud, and debris along with the water. These contaminants can cause problems if they are simply discharged into a storm drain.

The Ultra-Dewatering Bag Oil & Sediment Model provides an economical and effective solution. By pumping water into the bag, silt, dirt, sand and other pollutants are trapped and filtered so only water escapes to the ground below or nearby storm drains.

NOTE: To increase the efficiency of filtration, the bag can be placed on an aggregate or haybale bed to maximize water flow through the surface area of the bag.

Product Highlights:

  • Detains both oil and sediment/silt, offering a combination of benefits not available in alternative dewatering bags.
  • Standard and custom sizes available.
  • Accommodates up to 4-inch discharge hose.
  • Optional hose connector available – makes connecting and disconnecting Ultra-Dewatering Bags quick and easy.

The convenience of disposable/one-use bags can make dewatering operations nice and easy. Or at least as nice and easy as dewatering gets. But for large jobs or those on a tight budget, a reusable dewatering bag may be the better solution.

The Ultra-Dewatering Bag, Reusable Model uses a heavy-duty geotextile material that is built to last and withstand multiple uses. Steel locking rods keep the bag securely closed during dewatering but are quickly removed after operations are complete so collected silt, sediment, dirt, and debris can be easily disposed of and the next round of dewatering can begin.

Product Highlights:

  • Use for dewatering operations with large quantities of silt, sediment, or dirt. Bags can be emptied and reused repeatedly.
  • Large opening (3′ or 5′ depending on the size of Ultra-Dewatering Bag) allows easy access and removal of trapped sediment.
  • Works with discharge hoses up to 6″.
  • Galvanized steel locking rods (Part# 9735) are quickly and easily installed to secure bag opening during dewatering.
